Waterfowl update!

The ducks and geese are out of the brooder! I have learned that ducklings and goslings are cute but messy! The brooder was constantly in need of mucking out because these little ones love the water, splashing it everywhere at almost all times, so outside they went. I deployed one of the duck houses I built (whimsical decorations forthcoming), fenced off a small area, provided some small splash pools, and let them have fun! My boy Magnus, the male Embden goose, grows more impressive (and sweet) by the day, and the khakis are absolutely water crazy. The Pekins are growing by leaps and bounds, and all of them seem to be loving their new digs. In the pic above, Becca enjoys looking at the little waddlers splashing about. They have already become a super-fun addition to our farm!
